Schedule

Blessed John Henry Newman Society is an Anglican Use Society of the Catholic Church that is in formation to become a parish church of the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter. We are fully Catholic, but are currently a non-sacramental community (until later this year) worshipping according to the Anglican Use of the Roman Rite.

We are on hiatus until May 20, 2012, but our regular pattern of worship has been to meet at 6:00 PM, at Blessed Sacrament Episcopal Church. Our normal schedule is to begin with Evensong, using the Book of Divine Worship, refreshments and a time of fellowship, and then we spend some time learning about our Catholic Faith. We try to end around 9:00 PM at the latest.

If you live in the Orange County vicinity, please consider joining with us and worshipping God in the Catholic Faith according to the Anglican Use!

Next Choral Evensong:

On Sunday, May 20th, Bl. John's will be celebrating the month of Our Lady and our first anniversary as a community! It will be at Blessed Sacrament Episcopal Church at 6:00 pm. Please join us for this special service, complete with Marian procession.

Ordination Announcement:

Andrew Bartus will be ordained to the diaconate by Archbishop Gomez on Saturday, June 9, at 9:00 am at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in Los Angeles. Due to the numbers being ordained deacon at that service, tickets are required for entrance and can be acquired by contacting: fatherbartus @ gmail.com
