Patronal Dedication

Collect of Blessed John Henry Newman
"O God, who bestowed on the Priest Blessed John Henry Newman the grace to follow thy kindly light and find peace in thy Church; graciously grant that, through his intercession and example, we may be led out of shadows and images into the fulness of thy truth; through our Lord Jesus Christ, thy Son, who liveth and reigneth with thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost, one God, for ever and ever. Amen"

The Anglican Use Society of Orange County is under the patronage of Bl. JH Newman, who is interceeding on behalf of all Anglicans, specifically for their unity with the See of Peter. The Anglican Ordinariates in the Catholic Church are no doubt a result of his intercession.

With plans moving ahead for the creation of the Personal Ordinariate here in the United States, the Anglican Use Society of Orange County will eventually form into a Catholic parish of the Ordinariate. When that day arrives, the parish will be named after and dedicated to Bl. John Henry Newman.

Ut unum sint! Bl. John Henry Newman, ora pro nobis!
